I am a native New Yorker, and moved to Long Island in 1991. I have sought out historical and note-worthy points of interest. Long Island offers beautiful seaside vistas and picturesque downtowns. Many downtown villages on Long Island have rich histories, New England architecural style, great shops, galleries and restaurants. The area is abundant with public gardens and parks to enjoy with family and friends. My love of older architecture, landscape, history, photography and trivia inspired me to author my first book, Glitter That Was Once Gold: Long Island Gold Coast Trivia.
